Events: Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza 2007

I hadn't really planned on participating in this year's Egg-stravaganza, since Grymalkyn and I used to have fun doing these events together, and Grymalkyn isn't really there any more. However, I decided I "needed" an Egg Helm and a Jeweled Egg. I had all of the other items from previous Egg Hunts, so I would just need eggs spelling T, S, A, and one of the regions controlled by one of the countries.

Itera had a T and S for me, and had given me some random eggs as well, and I picked up a couple from moogles on Sunday morning. I ended up buying an A, and L, K, H to go with my Z-U from bazaars for 800-2000 each. I first traded the TSA to a moogle for my Egg Helm, and then the ZULKH for my jeweled egg, and I was done!

I really can't believe the design they used for the helm. It will always be known as the Boob Hat in my house. Here's a picture of Goto, Itera and I having some fun posing in Jeuno before Limbus on Sunday...

Events: Starlight Celebration 2006

I was in Windurst after the update on Monday, and spotted a group of adventurers gathered around a Nomad Moogle who was trying to hold back a Twinkling Treant that had invaded town. Puzzlingly, they were all cheering on the Treant, negating the efforts of the Moogle. I ran into my mog house and grabbed my Dream Hat +1, and headed back out to join in on the fun.

As the Treant approached the fountain, it suddenly vanished, and a Smile Bringer appeared. He told us about a fake smile bringer in town, and asked for helping in finding the culprit. We ran around until someone spotted the fake and alerted everyone else. We all ran to confront the fake smile bringer, and headed back to the real one. As a reward, we were given a Dream Stocking.

The Smile Bringer also had given me presents for the kiddies, which I delivered to one of the Mithra children roaming the paths of Windurst. Because of this, the Smile Bringer offered to teleport me to San d'Oria or Bastok. I decided to head to San d'Oria and see if they too had been invaded by a Twinkling Treant. Sure enough, there was another one, and the Smile Bringer there was also looking for a fake. Our reward here was a Dream Platter.

I then asked the Smile Bringer to send me to Bastok, and it was the same situation there, with a Dream Coffer as the reward. I took my new items back to my mog house in Windurst and set them up on the floor, adding 6 spots to my Mog Storage (at the expense of 3 slots in my Mog Safe).

Events: ClanBEB Third Anniversary Celebration

ClanBEB celebrated its third anniversary on Friday night. We decided we'd head to Mamook and kill a bunch of Mamools and Archaic Mirrors to help the Empire in its battles with the beastmen. I had a lot of fun, but fighting Zizzy Zillah wasn't our best idea. We did get the Namikirimaru, but not the Fencing Bracers. We also had 3 deaths. ><

We had a group of 14 for the event, most of us at 75: Yobun (SMN69), Lucrezia (THF75), Izan (DRG75), Vawn (BRD75), Daden (NIN75), Splinte (WAR75), Itera (MNK75), Elboron (BRD75), Rannz (BRD75), Wendell (WHM75), Jaerik (SAM75), Corbun (RDM68), Rovont (PLD60), and Tsakiki (PLD75). The Mamools were no match for us, and we took out 6 of the mirrors before we ran out of time and people had to leave for the night.

Yobun had a couple presents to give out as a legacy from Trow's departure from the game, and Kiki won a Flora Cotehardie. Since I don't have a lot of use for that particular piece of equipment, I'm thinking of turning it into something else, which will in turn become an LS legacy item if I ever quit. Things that come to mind at the moment are a Viking Shield, or an Emperor's Hairpin, or an Apollo's Staff. It doesn't really feel "right" selling a legacy gift though!
