Leveling: LLS in Caedarva Mire (74)

We finally made it to Caedarva Mire to exp Monday night, along with all of the other level 73-75 parties on the server. At least it seemed that way - the competition for prey was fierce.

Since we had to take the ferry to Nashmau, we got a pretty late start on actually fighting, and I think we ended up fighting for about two hours. We fought Heraldic Imps, Spongilla Flies, and Jnun (undead Doomed). I can see why everyone goes here to level now. We were killing things so fast that we scarcely had time to breathe. Yobun would usually disengage and have the next mob there just as the one we were fighting was dead. I used Provoke and Flash at the start of each fight, but refrained from using them again just so they'd be ready for the next mob.

We had a lot of "breaks" because there just weren't enough mobs for all the parties. There was one brief period where one party left that it got better, but another party soon arrived, and we were back to losing chains because there was nothing to kill. We weren't seeing the Chain #50s people are regularly reporting in our LS (merit parties in Bhaflau Thickets usually), but we got a couple chain #7s and #6s, so it was kind of fun for us.

We ended up with a bit under 12K (with Empress Band) for the 2 hours, and Yobun said we'd killed 80 mobs. Exp varied from around 90-250 per kill, and it all added up pretty fast. Grymalkyn got to level 74, but Wendell's still 71. Hopefully he'll get to 72 on Sunday. Some of us should actually hit 75 next Monday. Hard to believe!

The Mire was a nice change from the Hilltrolls and their Diamondhide, but the zone is so dark and gloomy that it's really hard to see very well, and with our set-up fighting these, I often could only see the back of one of the Galkas. More than once, Grym had to ask where I was for Trick Attack, and the answer was usually "right in front of Itera". Poor little Taru gets so lost in with the big guys.
