Assault: 95% Luck?

Kiki has participated in four assault missions now, and I've decided that, at least for the Excavation Duty Assault Mission in Lebros Caverns (Halvung Staging Point), it's really 95% luck. We're 0/3 on that. There just haven't been enough Qiqirn Mines dropping from the cute little rat people to be able to get all 5 rock walls down in the time allotted, unless there's some secret to getting them down without mines. Our set ups for this were BLM75/WAR75/PLD72/BRD72/THF72, RDM75/BLM75/WAR75/PLD72/BRD72/THF72, and RDM75/PLD73/THF73/BRD73/MNK73. Admittedly, we were a little light on the melee damage, but even then we'd managed to kill all of the Qiqirn on two of the runs without getting enough mines. We got 100 points for each of the failures, but at that rate, it will be a long long time before I have enough points to get one of the new Assault items. Plus we have to win this to move on to the second level ones.

The Leujaoam Cleansing mission in Leujaoam Sanctum (Azouph Isle Staging Point) was more fun. We had 30 minutes to kill 15 worms. We did this as BLM75/BLM75/WAR75/PLD72/BRD72, and had no troubles. I was the leader on that run, and got 660 assault points. The leader of the mission has to spend 50 Imperial Standing points to get the leader's armband from the NPC in the staging area, and is the one to initiate the mission at the runic gate. The extra assault points makes up for having to spend the imperial standing points, but really the latter are a lot easier to get!
