Missions: The Sixth Ministry (Windurst 7-1)

On Friday night, a group of us from the Blue Elephant Brigade gathered together in Windurst to investigate rumours of Karaha-Baruha's secret laboratory hidden deep in the Toraimarai Canal. Tosuka-Porika at the Optistery had requested help for this mission, and wanted us to find out more about the Book of the Gods if we could.

We knew that we would have to fight four slimes called Hinge Oils in order to acces the "hidden" door, and had been told by other adventurers that they could be deadly. Charcole (MNK73) came along just to assist us, and the rest of our group was made up of Diasuke (SMN73), Izan (DRG73), Midget (RNG73), Grymalkyn (THF66), Elboron (BRD66), Ryrra (MNK65), Wendell (WHM65) and Tsakiki (PLD66).

Turns out we had way more power than we needed, and those Hinge Oils practically melted before us. It was really a bit disappointing. We all headed into the hidden room (except for Charcole, since he didn't have the key item required to get through the door). We checked several of the Tomes of Magic lying about in the laboratory and ran into someone we didn't expect to see there... Then we headed back to the Optistery to report back to Tosuka-Porika, and he gave us the Blank Book of the Gods.

Next weekend, I hope we can do the next mission, which requires us to travel to the Temple of Uggalepih and fight with a Tonberry. If I'm going to tank that fight, I will probably have to get everyone to clear their Tonberry hate...
