Quests: Beastmen Treasure

There's a Goblin named Peddlestox that shows up in Yuhtunga Jungle, not all that far from Kazham, every Windsday. He waxes nostalgic over Mermaid parts that the Sahagins have and promises to make it worth your while if you can get all four of the Mermaid parts for him.

One of the items that you can get from him is a Mermaid's Ring (Level 43, Enmity +2), which Kiki thought she'd really like to have since Itera's always pulling hate off of her, so she needs all the help she can get.

We learned that we could get the parts off of different types of Sahagins in Yuhtunga Jungle and Sea Serpent Grotto, with the head dropping from an NM, Seww the Squidlimbed, that lives in the area behind the silver door. It took hours and hours of Sahagin killing for Kiki to get all 4 parts she needed, first with just Grymalkyn helping, and then Elboron joined us. At least we all got our song fragments from the SSG chest for the quest, A Test of True Love!

We also ran into the NM Wuur the Sandcomber, which can drop a Holy Ampula, but all we got was a Bastore Sardine.

The next day Kiki took the mermaid parts to Peddlestox, and he marked a treasure spot on her map. Kiki found it and dug up a wooden crate with a pickaxe, and got 4000 gil, a sardonyx, a bag of vegetable seeds, a silver beastcoin, and a Mermaid's Ring! Hurray!
