Quests: Elderly Pursuits

Grymalkyn and I did another of those "See the World!" quests so common with CoP, Elderly Pursuits, which is next in the Spice Gals/Secrets of Ovens Lost series in Tavnazia.

The quest is started with Despachiaire in the Tavnazian Safehold. He gives us an Antique Amulet that had been his wife's, and asks us to see if we can learn more about it in San d'Oria. In San d'Oria, we talked with Rouva, who said the amulet was too tarnished to read the inscription, and sent us off to Carpenter's Landing to get some glowing mushroom spore to polish it.

When we tried to get the spore, an NM Funguar named Para appeared. While we were fighting him, he cloned himself, so we had to fight two of them. Apparently you need to kill him quickly when you get his health down to a certain point.We re able to polish the amulet and discovered that it was a Cathedral Medallion. We returned to talk with Rouva, who gave us some more information, and then we headed back to the Tavnazian Safehold to report what we had learned to Despachiaire. He rewarded us with yet-another-seemingly-useless item (an Elegant Ribbon), but I do enjoy the stories.
