Leveling: LLS Welcomes Wendell (Bibiki Bay, level 70)

The Low Level Static was thrilled to have Wendell join us from the now-defunct Mid-Level Static. We headed to Bibiki Bay on Sunday evening, and managed to find an open camp, with 6 Catoblepas and 2 Goblins all to ourselves.

We did pretty well, raking in 13k exp in 2.5 hours (using our Empress Bands), and didn't have a single break. Yobun hit level 70, and Wendell got really close to 68. With the collapse of the Mid-Level Static, we're trying to have the LLS meet on both Sunday and Monday evenings. We didn't get as many chain #5s as we thought we should be getting, but the evening progressed quickly. We had a bit of excitement with a Catoblepas link, but other than Itera getting down under 100 HP, we did just fine. A couple of the suicide Goblin bomb tosses were pretty devastating, but a Divine Seal-Curaga III from Wendell and a Divine Seal-Curaga II from Elboron would top us back up again and we'd be ready to go.

It's so nice having Wendell as part of the group! I love Regen III. We were doing so well with our MP management that Wendell was even bursting Banish III on our Light Skillchain.

On Monday evening, we headed back to Bibiki Bay, and got the camp in the southwest, back by the cave. At this camp, we pretty much were only fighting Hobgoblins: Alastors (DRK), Toreadors (RDM), Physicians (WHM), and Blaggers (THF). There was a bunny there that we pulled for a chain 5, but he didn't come back for over an hour, and then came back as a Catoblepas. After we killed that, the bunny kept coming back as expected after we'd kill it.

We had another really good evening, and got ourselves about 15K exp in 2.75 hours. If we can keep up with our two sessions a week, we're definitely going to make good progress. Especially compared to the weeks we couldn't even find a healer. Fighting the Hobgoblins pretty much exclusively did require a lot more Curagas from Wendell and Elboron, but we really didn't have to take a break between chains, and got quite a good number of #5s. I'm worried we're going to outgrow Bibiki when we all hit 71, but maybe we can push it another level.
