Missions: CoP 3-1 through 3-4

Most of the third chapter of the Chains of Promathia missions involves a lot of running around and seeing cutscenes. However, for Mission 3-3, we did have to kill an NM Malboro (Overgrown Ivy) in Carpenters Landing, as well as an NM Antlion (Lioumere) in Attohwa Chasm.

We knew these would be easy, so we didn't bother scheduling them when Wendell was available, since he'd already done them. Elboron, Grym, Itera, Splinte and Kiki headed to Carpenter's Landing, built up TP and popped the Overgrown Ivy. We were planning to use our Red Lotus Blade -> Raging Fists -> Sharkbite skill chain on it, and I decided to get a screenshot at the start of the fight. By the time I got out of the screenshot and back to the action, it was already half dead. Our skillchain quickly finished it off. We headed back to San d'Oria to get a cutscene to complete that part of the mission.

A couple of days later, we were hoping to take care of Lioumere in Attohwa Chasm, but Itera had a soccer game (bad idea, as it turned out), and rather than do it without him, the rest of us headed to Attohwa just to practice running up Parradamo Tor. It's a tricky path, and quite easy to fall off, and since you're given about an hour to make the run up after killing Lioumere and getting a Mimeo Stone, it seemed worth the practice. A few nights after that, the 5 of us headed to Attohwa again. The antlion will return to its spawn spot and regen HP quite fast, so I decided to go as Red Mage to be able to Gravity and Bind it. Splinte popped the NM and tried to drag it out to us a little ways from the spawn point, but it went back almost immediately. With a bit of coaxing, they were able to get it further away, and we killed it before it had a chance to go back again. Bind and Gravity probably did help.

We examined the ??? spot and got our Mimeo Stones and made it up the Tor without incident, then headed to Windurst for a few cutscenes, then it was off to Bastok to talk to Cid, then to Jeuno for another cutscene, and we were done with Mission 3-1 through 3-4. I really enjoyed the Windurst cutscenes, with the Taru trio from Tavnazia.

Next up is Mission 3-5, a level 40 capped fight with Diabolos!
