Leveling: LLS v. Hobgoblins (71)

We headed back to Bibiki Bay again on Sunday, and ended up camping on the cliff above the Hobgoblin Angler beach. Wendell reached 68, but Yobun still isn't quite yet 71. We did pretty well, chaining #5 almost every time on the eft, but we just couldn't manage a #6 on the bunny that was there as well.

We had a mishap towards the end of the evening. There were two hobgoblins near each other, and Grym pulled one, waiting to see if the other noticed. It didn't make a move, so he headed back to camp. On the way, another hobgoblin had just spawned, but he ran behind it, and paused to make sure it didn't notice him. It didn't, so he kept coming. We started in fighting the hobgoblin, and what seemed like ages later, the two other hobgoblins came tearing into our camp, intent on murdering Grymalkyn. Grym pulled away from the fight and used Hide just as Elboron used Lullaby on them. One wouldn't sleep, and we ended up with 4 of us dead. Grym and Yobun were able to stay alive and finish off the hobgoblin we'd been fighting.

As near as I can figure it, the gob that was standing near the one Grym pulled did indeed notice, but opted to cast a spell on itself rather than immediately start following. The gob in the tunnel on the way back to us didn't notice Grym, but when the other one came running through, it decided to join in as well. In any event, it was an unpleasant end to our leveling session. With the update maintenance on Monday, we only had the one session this week, but hopefully we'll get two sessions in this coming Sunday and Monday.
